Hi! I’m Ronan, UX/UI/Digital designer and front-end developer with over 10 years experience working with a variety clients from large global brands to small independent businesses. Examples include BMW, Volkswagen, North Face, NHS and the Scottish Government.
For the last 3 years i've been working as an independent designer/developer working within a number of areas incuding user experience, user interface design, web design and development, branding and design for print. The core components of my stack are Jekyll and Wordpress depending on client requirements. Scotchbox which is a lamp stack for Vagrant is my choice for local dev environment with Git and Github for version control. Hyper combined with Ohmyzh is my preferred command line setup. Tools for running front end build tasks include Gulp (using npm) and Browsersync.
My main frontend skillset lies with HTML 5 and CSS3 with a sound knowledge of utilising javascript for interactivity. I have experience of using both Bootstrap and Foundation with more recent focus on more modular css tool kits like Blaze CSS and Tachyons.
Design tools include Sketch, Illustrator, Indesign and Photoshop, with Invision , Zeplin and Slack used for prototyping and collaboration.
Atom is my code editor of choice.
